What can you do as a father to support the pregnancy?

As a father, you have an important task during pregnancy. You have to take care of everything, including yourself. Your wife is undergoing violent physical and mental changes, and hormones are racing through her body. It is very unpleasant, but you will have to deal with it. After all, this is what you love to do, because you and your wife are going to have a wonderful miracle in the near future. You have your own little one on the way and you cannot wait. But as a father, sometimes you just don’t know what to do anymore. It all feels overwhelming and you want to do your best, but you do not know what to do.

Paternity test

If you are a good father, you are always there for your child. You want to show that you are a good father and you can do this by means of a paternity test at home. With this test, you have to take a little bit of saliva from yourself, and you need genetic material from the baby. The baby comes first and you show by doing this that whatever happens, you are there for the baby. We strongly recommend to do this in consultation with your wife, she may not like it.

Fertility check

A fertility check is also a good idea, but this is mainly something you do before pregnancy. Of course, you can also do it during pregnancy to find out whether you will be able to conceive another child. Having one child is great, but having two children is even better! You can easily do a spermcheck and you do not even have to go to the doctor for it. A sperm check is highly recommended if you are ready to start a beautiful family. Your wife will see that you are ready and you will know where you stand.

Be there for the mother

The last thing you can do is to be there for the mother. Show this in every possible way. Is she tired? Then you do the shopping. Is she nauseous? Take a bucket, a warm blanket and put on a film for her. Does she have mood swings? Don’t say anything and just give her a big hug. The best thing you can do is show her that she is not alone and that you are always there for her.
